Early xxxx's GlenEaton 'Model E' 16-inch Ball Bearing Reel Lawnmower for Sale
Made by the Suffolk Iron Foundry exclusively for the T. Eaton Co. department store chain. The Suffolk Iron Foundries (est. xxxx) of England which had a long history of making agricultural and horticultural machinery. After WWII, the foundry moved into the production of mangles, mincers and lawn mowers (developing the now famous Suffolk Punch mower). The Glen Eaton was a popular machine and many were sold throughout Canada, and the Model E was among the most reliable mowers ever produced in England.

Note: In a Lethbridge Herald newspaper ad (dated 14 May xxxx), the Glen Eaton lawnmower was advertised to have a strong and well braced tubular frame to minimize weight. Solid rubber tires for good traction. An innovative positive blade tension adjustment. It also had five Sheffield blades that turn easily on ball bearings and the cutting reel had four-point reinforcements.
