Silvera for Seniors,a not for profit organization providing affordable housing for seniors, is offering a Full-time Dietary Aide position in its Bow Valley Community, conveniently located at xxxx Bow Valley DRNW.This position is full-time, at 80 hours every 2 weeks, and is currently offered as a 1 year contract position.The position: Reporting to the Kitchen Supervisor, the Dietary Aide is responsible to provide support services to the kitchen in the preparation and delivery of food. Your duties: 1. Previous housekeeping and food preparation skills are an asset - min of (1) years background in the service industry. 2. Responsible for the daily/weekly clearing, cleaning and setting up of the dining room and staff room.3. Responsible to serve meals in a polite and professional manner.4. Responsible for the daily/weekly food preparation.5. Responsible for the set up, delivery and clean up of the coffee area at residents tea and coffee times.6. Must have a flexible, willing and positive attitude, especially to help out in all areas of the Lodge as required.7. Enthusiastic, dedicated, proven high standard of cleanliness.8. Works on an even and consistent basis. Follows and accepts directions.9. Likes the kitchen atmosphere and is willing to learn some basic cooking skills.10. Reliable, self-starter, and a team member.11.
