Working in a Joey kitchen will provide you with excellent fundamentals that include knife skills, product handling techniques, time management and correct judgment. You will receive first class training from your chefs and be given the tools to perform in a productive, comfortable and safe manner.

Working in the prep kitchen, also called the production kitchen, is to be part of a team of experienced cooks and chefs working together to produce the bulk of he food for the day. Teamwork is the key and the camaraderie that develops in a production environment is one that lasts. You are also considered the elite of the kitchen with more responsibility and trust placed upon you ? after all you are in charge of the flavours. Together the production team begins and finishes the cooking together.

Joey Eau Claire also has created an extensive training program to provide you an opportunity to develop a strong foundation in cooking. The fundamentals that you learn through completing the apprenticeship will support your skill development and ultimately your career progression.

Starting wage $11-15 an hour.
